Training Approach & Results
At K-9 Unlocked, we utilize positive reinforcement training methods to guide dogs toward behavioral improvement and better communication with their owners. However, every dog is a unique, sentient being, and their progress will depend on various factors such as their history, temperament, environment, and the consistency of training outside of sessions. As such, we cannot guarantee specific results or timelines. Training is an ongoing process that requires commitment, patience, and practice from the owner.
Liability
While every precaution is taken to ensure the safety of you, your dog, and others during training, K-9 Unlocked and its trainers will not be held legally or financially responsible for any injury, loss, or damage caused by or to your dog during or after training sessions. It is the owner’s responsibility to maintain control of their dog at all times and to ensure they are in a safe and suitable environment.
Owner Responsibility
Training is a collaborative effort. As the owner, you are responsible for implementing the techniques and exercises provided during training sessions. The success of training depends largely on your consistency, effort, and commitment to reinforcing learned behaviors outside of sessions. Failure to follow recommended training protocols may impact results.
Payment & Cancellations
All training sessions must be paid in full 24 hours in advance. Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before a scheduled session. Late cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee. No refunds will be provided for missed or unattended sessions without prior notice. *Please note travel cost is R4.50 per kilometre
Ethical & Transparent Service
K-9 Unlocked is committed to providing an honest, ethical, and transparent service at all times. Our training methods are science-backed and focused on promoting the well-being of both dogs and their owners. If at any point we believe an alternative approach or specialist support is necessary, we will advise accordingly.
Health & Safety
For the safety of all parties, dogs must be up to date on vaccinations and free from contagious illnesses before attending training sessions. If your dog is unwell, please notify us and reschedule the session accordingly. Owners must also disclose any history of aggression or behavioral issues prior to training.
